It's Wacky Wednesday! Today is one of our busy Wednesdays. DS has Cub Scouts from 4:15-6:00, then both the kids have church activities from 6:15-8:00 PM. These frenzied days only happen twice a month, and will probably stop after February because DS will move up to Boy Scouts and they will meet a different day and time. But for now, DH and I have figured out we can carve out those couple of hours while the kids are both at church to have a small "date night." We usually go to Starbuck's and hang out, or go out to eat if I haven't made supper. It's actually been kind of nice, and I'll miss it come February.

Our Thanksgiving was nice. We stayed here, and had my mother over. My menu was a Roasted Turkey Breast with Gravy, Cornbread Dressing, homemade Cranberry Sauce, Shoepeg Corn Casserole, Mustard Greens, Deviled Eggs, Sister Shubert Cloverleaf Rolls and two pies: Pumpkin and Pecan. The kids helped me prepare the food on Wednesday. DD made the Deviled Eggs and the pies (I helped w/ crust). DS made the Cranberry Sauce and assembled the casserole. The mustard greens were "Glory" brand, and I tell you the truth, you can open the can, warm them up, and serve them! They are that good, come seasoned with all sorts of onion, garlic, and ham, and are great to keep on the shelf for a quick side dish. "Glory" is a relatively new brand out there, with bright orange labelling. I've noticed them, but never tried their products until Thanksgiving. I can't wait to try other Glory products, like Creamed Corn, Okra & Tomatoes, or White Beans. I've also seen Glory brand fresh veggies in bags, like Mustard or Collard Greens. But popping that can open sure was easy
