Weight Loss Update

As of last Friday, I have lost 42 pounds! I'm so happy! My pants size has gone down 2 sizes, my shirt about 3-4 sizes. My belly has been my problem area, and probably will always be.

My jewelry is getting loose. Rings spin easily on my fingers, and I've noticed necklaces hanging lower than they used to. I've got a couple bracelets that I need to shorten, as they nearly fall off my hand or get in the way now. People are starting to notice and compliment me at church, and that's kind of fun. DH has long been telling me he can see it in my face.

It's weird the tings I notice now. And I still have a long "weigh" to go in my weight loss. But even now, I can sleep on my back and intertwine my fingers on my belly as I sleep. I don't think my fingers ever touched before! I've noticed when I'm lying on my side, and put my arm down on my side/hip, I can feel bones. That's so odd to me! And shoes I used to wear all the time are now loose and floppy on my feet, and look shabby to me. I've gotten rid of 4-5 pair already, and as soon as I find a couple replacement colors, more are going. I no longer need to wear carpal tunnel wrist splints at night either, as my hands no longer fall asleep.

So all in all, I'm SO GLAD I had the WLS done, y'all! I'm finding I am appreciating the "art" of baking more now than before when I'd just hork down cookies or sweets absentmindedly. Now, more than 1-2 bites of concentrated sweets will make me sick, so I choose that bite wisely, if at all.

Sometimes I just can't believe I waited this long to get this WLS procedure done! I could have been feeling this good and reducing my aches and pains a decade ago! But, it was just not my time then, and I acknowledge that.

And YES, I've got some photos coming... I'm having problems getting them from my camera to my photo host site. But I will put at least a photo of my face up so y'all can see me now!
