Cool Discovery for Fingernails

Since my surgery, my nails have grown quite long, so I got a manicure last week. My cuticles were in bad shape, dry and splitting and cracking. The nail tech trimmed and trimmed and trimmed some more to get rid of the excess cuticle. So this week, I was removing the polish, and stopped into a Sally Beauty Co. to see what they had to offer me in the way of cuticle help. I asked the clerk for some sort of pumice cream that I could rub on to help remove cuticle. She said that yes, that would work, but what really works best is Peppermint Sloughing Lotion! Sloughing cream is usually used on the feet to remove callouses and excess dry skin. She said the cream is designed to remove dead skin, which excess s are, and do it easily and painlessly.

So I get home and rub the sloughing lotion into my nails, cuticles, and fingertips. In less than 2 minutes, I had dead skin beading up and coming off my fingernails and fingertips, and now my nails are beautiful! I think the sloughing lotion did a better job than the nail tech! I never would have thought to use sloughing lotion on my hands, but it worked very well. I just had to pass this nugget of information with everyone. It was a serendipitous discovery!
