We watched the LSU vs. Middle Tennessee game lat night on TigerVision. TigerVision is great because you don't have many commercials, and you get to see the LSU Band's half-time show. Other networks use the half-time break to report scores from around the country. So it was nice to kind of "waller" in the LSU-ness provided by TigerVision. Plus, TigerVision is only $19.99 here, half the cost of what it is in Baton Rouge! The LSU Band had many of their alumni on the field with them last night, playing their old instruments or twirling batons or dancing. We spotted a friend, Randy, on the television and we hooted and hollered for him! It was so cool to see a familiar face in our own living room! He told me his wife, who was one of the first LSU Golden Girls in the late 1950's, opted to play the flute. They had 2 daughters there as well: one played the trumpet, and one (who's 50!) danced as a Golden Girl! I just think that's fabulous! You know after playing in the LSU Band for 4 years, they know those songs by heart, and probably never forget them! They probably still remember which foot to step out with on which note!

So, feeling a little homesick for South Louisiana, we decided to stop at Popeye's and get some fried chicken after church today. If only I'd have had a Barq's Red Creme Soda to wash down that spicy chicken and red beans!

Well that's totally unfair that it only cost you $19.99!! it cost me $34.50..now why is that?? I got to go to the first game Becky against VT and it was totally awesome! I'll never forget the experience! there's no place like South Louisiana that's for sure!
