Well, it's finally coming. Tonight, at 1 minute past midnight, the seventh and final Harry Potter book goes on sale. I saw on the morning news that people are already lined up outside of some major book sellers in large cities. Now that's devotion.
I've ordered a copy from Amazon, which will arrive tomorrow morning (in the daylight hours, I presume). A full week later, the audio CD version will be delivered to me as well. That wait will be incredible, as I try to avoid learning Harry's fate while waiting to "read" it on my own. Then I got to thinking, maybe I could read it w/ a magnifying glass and a bright light over my shoulder, just for that week's wait. Then my husband said he wanted a book to read, since our daughter would be reading hte one from Amazon. So it looks like we may be heading out around midnight to find a book from a local purveyor. I think the lines may be shorter at a Walgreen's or a large grocery store than at Barnes & Nobles.
