So we went out last night, just before midnight, to a grocery store that was selling the Harry Potter books. There were about 10 books sold at 12:01 AM today. We were all chuckling that we had missed the crowds that larger book vendors were certainly experiencing.
My HP7 book arrived from Amazon via the U.S. Postal Service at the usual time today, about 3:00 PM. It was in a specially-made delivery box marked "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and in 4 different places had red printing that read "Attention Muggles: Do not Deliver or Open before July 21!" I thought that was a nice touch. I couldn't help but wonder how many Postal Service employees who have not read the books wondered if "Attention Muggles" was directed at them!
